Long Overdue

So, our trip to Tennessee seems like ages ago, what with all the stuff that's gone on since we've returned. But I'd be a bad blogger, and an even worse sister if I didn't at least share with you the pride of getting to watch Jessica graduate with university honors, Suma Cum Laude. Yep, there ain't no dummies in this family.

Way to go, Jess!

Of course, we did lots of other stuff while we were there:

We took the kids hiking in the woods... ok, so we went hiking in the woods and carried the kids, mostly.

We even dragged Nana to Chuck E. Cheese for an evening of bad pizza and mayhem

We built a bear... or two.

We visited with family, and generally just had a great and relaxing time.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

Congrats to your sister! Looks like you guys had a great time. J must have loved hanging out with his little cousin. So do you have to knit a sweater for his new bear too?

Hey, I read this post last week, but just now realized that the picture of Dad is at Mema's. How nice that he was able to come down and you didn't have to make the trek to Dresden! :)

Yep, we had a great time. And nope, the new guy came with his very own firefighter outfit, complete with boots and a hose! But I'm still being harped on for a pair of pants for Bluey.

squee!!! I got a Laura comment! Yes, yes he is enormous. Not quite the munchkin you remember playing in your garden hose, but still just as much fun... maybe even more.

And yep, I don't know if there was any way possible we were going to be able to make the trip to the country, so I was super-grateful for their making the drive. Next time we go we'll be able to stay longer and look forward to actually getting out there to do the farm thing.
